Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH seeks a team member for The Heart Center to perform diagnostic tests including EKG, Rhythm Strip, Holter, Zio and 30 Day Event Monitoring, and to support daily clinic functions across outpatient and inpatient settings.

Required is a High School Diploma; BLS certification; strong written and verbal communication; and the ability to work with patients of all ages. Healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Post-secondary healthcare related training is preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in conducting diagnostic tests across clinic, inpatient, and outpatient areas.
• Prepare effectively for testing and explain procedures by patient age.
• Record information from diagnostic tests accurately and provide reports to ordering providers.
• Communicate compassionately with patients and caregivers.
• Collaborate across boundaries with teamwork related behaviors.
• Assist with clerical responsibilities such as billing, auditing, cleaning and disinfecting of equipment, and answering the telephone.
