Job description

Cardiology Services Manager

Responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and supervising the Cardiology Services program at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, including outpatient and full-service cardiology units (EKG, EEG, Echocardiograms, TEE, stress echo, Dobutamine stress, Nuclear stress testing). Provides leadership, ensures equipment maintenance, regulatory compliance, staff development, and policy implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, develop, and supervise the coordination of care and treatment of patients.
  • Manage outpatient and full-service cardiology units and associated testing procedures.
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of assigned equipment.
  • Review required reports and oversee improvement initiatives to meet regulatory standards.
  • Supervise subordinate personnel and perform related work as required.
  • Interview and select personnel staff and process payroll documents.
  • Monitor staff performance and participate in development of competencies, performance standards, and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission requirement, Title 22, California Department of Public Health, federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Develop and implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures and priorities to provide best care to patients.
  • Conduct staff meetings and manage other discussions to coordinate interdepartmental affairs.
Qualifications
