Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring a Cardiology Clinic Scheduler/Insurance Authorization in Harrisonburg, VA. The role is Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, totaling 40 hours per week.

You will schedule procedures in a computerized system and ensure complete and accurate patient and procedure information is obtained. The position requires strong clerical skills, with preference for candidates having customer service and medical terminology experience.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• One year of medical offer experience preferred.
• One year of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules procedures for patients in a computerized scheduling system.
• Ensures accurate and complete collection of required information for scheduling.
• Responsible for order entry, communications, guest relations, and clerical duties within scope of role.
• Maintains medical records and performs related administrative tasks.
