Job summary

Firsthealth of the Carolinas is seeking a skilled RN for our busy Cardiology clinic to deliver compassionate patient care in a fast-paced setting. Requirements include an NC RN license (BSN preferred), ACLS/BLS certifications, and at least three years of clinic/medical-surgical nursing, with two years in cardiology preferred.

Proficiency with Epic, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams is expected. The role also includes vital signs, ECGs, triaging calls, scheduling referrals, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing with a current North Carolina RN license or RN multi-state licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Three years clinic/medical-surgical nursing experience required; minimum two years in cardiology preferred; ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Computer skills including Epic, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with a wide range of age groups, ethnic, educational and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Demonstrates physical assessment skills with the ability to prioritize with accuracy and speed.
• Demonstrates efficient computer skills within service provided (Epic, MS Office, Teams).
• Maintains clinical and professional competency levels required of age-specific populations.
• Obtains basic vital signs, 12-Lead ECGs, and reviews health information with patients; monitors labs and reports to physician.
• Triages patient phone calls; manages prescription refills/requests.
• Receives referrals and schedules patient appointments per clinic guidelines.
