Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an RN to provide patient-centered care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The role includes assessments, planning, interventions and evaluation of care, along with medication administration and thorough documentation.

The RN will develop patient plans of care, educate patients and families, participate in performance improvement, and supervise nursing support staff as appropriate. ADN required, BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.
• Licensed RN in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policies and standards.
• Ensures accurate and comprehensive documentation per standards.
• Develops and executes a patient plan of care and provides education to patients and families.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and peer review.
• Supervises nursing support staff as appropriate.
