National Jewish Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant III for the Adult Cardiology Clinic in Denver. The role combines hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities, guiding MA staff and supporting clinicians to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality cardiovascular care.

You will mentor teammates, manage patient flow, and participate in quality initiatives, while handling documentation and order entry within scope of practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and graduation from a Medical Assistant program or EMT program.
• Or a Bachelor's degree in a health or science-related field such as Health Sciences, Biology, or Public Health.
• Minimum of two years' experience as a Medical Assistant; National Jewish Health experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead resource for Medical Assistants and clinic staff.
• Coordinate patient flow and prioritize clinical activities.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and care teams to deliver patient care.
• Address escalated patient concerns and communicate urgent issues.
• Complete order entry and patient care activities within scope.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committees.
• Provide back-up support across clinical areas.
