Job summary

Doctors Medical Center of Modesto is seeking a Cardiology Assistant to perform routine duties under the supervision of the Cardiology Nurse. The role focuses on EKGs, stress testing, and patient transport across inpatients, the ED, and outpatients in the Cardiology department.

The position requires basic education, recent EKG/treadmill experience, and appropriate certifications (BLS and Basic Dysrhythmia as applicable).

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School graduate preferred.
• Recent (within 1 year) EKG and treadmill experience preferred.
• Current BLS card and Basic Dysrhythmia Course or equivalent certification as described in job posting.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and assigned duties under the direct supervision of the Cardiology Nurse.
• Specializes in patient care; performs EKGs, stress testing and transport functions for pediatric to adult inpatients, ED patients and outpatients.
• Assists to maximize the efficiency of the Cardiology Department through effective triaging.
