Job summary

Westerly Hospital in Fairfield, CT is seeking a Cardiology APRN/PA to join our cardiology/telemetry team. You will provide comprehensive clinical care, collaborate with physicians, and contribute to patient education and care planning.

The ideal candidate will hold an APRN or PA license, ACLS/BLS certification, and CPR/EKG proficiency, with cardiology/telemetry experience preferred. This on-site role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Active Connecticut APRN/PA license, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
ACLS and BLS certification required.
DEA registration required.
New graduate NP may have RN experience in cardiology, telemetry, or related acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management in cardiology as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and resources.
Ensure accurate documentation per hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and commitment to patient care.
May serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff and students.
