Job summary

Deborah Heart and Lung Center seeks a qualified nurse practitioner or registered nurse with APN credentials to supervise and perform complex stress testing, including treadmill and pharmacologic agents. You will manage patient care during tests and recovery, review histories, ECGs, and orders, and assist with QA projects under the Nuclear Medical Director.

Requirements include NJ RN license with APN certification, prescriptive authority, and current CDS/DEA within 6 months.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or greater from an ANA-accredited School of Nursing.
NJ License as a Registered Nurse with APN certification and prescriptive authority.
Current CDS and DEA licenses within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

Independently supervise and perform stress tests including treadmill, nuclear treadmill, and pharmacologic stress tests.
Monitor patients during testing and recovery for ischemia or complications; administer pharmacologic agents as needed.
Take brief histories and review resting vitals, ECGs, and test orders for contraindications.
Administer or order medications for non-cardiac nuclear studies as needed.
Assist with QA projects under the Nuclear Medical Director.
