Job summary

Atlantic Health System in New Jersey seeks a Cardiac Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear cardiology procedures, including myocardial perfusion imaging and stress testing, collaborating with cardiologists, APPs, nurses, and other staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to radiation safety and regulatory standards.

You will prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals, perform SPECT and PET cardiac studies, assist with stress testing,

Qualifications

• Current NMTCB and/or ARRT (N) certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years nuclear cardiology experience preferred.
• Experience with SPECT cardiac imaging preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals per orders and regulations.
• Perform nuclear cardiology imaging procedures, including SPECT and PET cardiac studies.
• Assist with cardiac stress testing and monitor patient responses.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot nuclear imaging equipment.
• Ensure high-quality image acquisition and documentation in EMR/PACS.
• Educate patients about testing procedures and provide excellent service.
• Maintain accurate records in imaging systems and comply with safety protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement, accreditation readiness, and department goals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support efficient patient flow.
