Job summary

The Wellstar Center for Cardiovascular Care Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship is a one-year post-graduate training program for nurse practitioners and physician assistants seeking a career in adult cardiovascular medicine.

Fellows rotate across ambulatory and acute care settings within the Wellstar Health System, gaining experience in core service lines such as general cardiology, ischemic heart disease, heart failure, critical care, and electrophysiology.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Commitment to delivering high quality healthcare and customer service.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams under guidance of faculty and preceptors.
Perform evaluations to establish patient health status.
Develop differential diagnoses and treatment plans.
Provide continuing medical care including exams, orders, notes and discharge summaries.
Enter orders in EPIC, participate in rounds and transition of care.
Attend conferences, complete clinical activity logs and program evaluations.
Complete readings and curricula by established deadlines.
Stay current on institutional policies and credentialing requirements.
Support program operations and future fellowship growth.
Complete additional required certificate courses when offered.
