Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse (NP/PA) to join a cardiology practice in Eatontown, NJ. The role covers outpatient and inpatient care, with a per diem schedule of 2–3 days per week and a day shift.

The APP collaborates closely with supervising cardiologists, performs comprehensive cardiac assessments, manages cardiovascular conditions, orders tests, and documents care in the EMR while coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree as NP or PA program completed
• Active state license as APN/NP or PA
• National board certification (AANP/ANCC or NCCPA)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed cardiac-focused histories and perform exams
• See new and follow-up patients in outpatient clinics or ambulatory units
• Manage cardiovascular conditions including CAD, HF, HTN, hyperlipidemia and arrhythmias
• Order, perform and interpret ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms and labs
• Document encounters in EMR and coordinate care with the team
