Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a clinical leader for the Acute Care Cardiology Unit (ACCU) within the Heart Institute. The role provides programmatic leadership of the clinical component to ensure high-quality patient care outcomes and aligns with strategic goals.

Collaborating with the Clinical Director, you will develop standards, educate staff, supervise day-to-day operations, and oversee compliance, quality assurance, and financial performance within the department.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 3+ years of nursing experience.
• Active RN license in Ohio.
• Cardiology experience preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide programmatic leadership of the clinical component in assigned areas to ensure quality patient care outcomes.
• Develop and implement goals, standards, policies, educational programs, procedures, and practices aligned with the strategic plan.
• Monitor situations affecting daily operations and take appropriate action.
• Participate in development, coaching, and evaluation of department personnel; mentor and provide learning opportunities.
• Ensure staff competence through training and practice oversight; promote IPM and shared governance.
