Job summary

St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time cardiology acute care nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our inpatient care team.

The ACNP/PA conducts rounds on post-surgical and ICU patients, performs assessments, coordinates and evaluates the plan of care, and implements discharge planning under supervision of the Cardiologist or Cardiovascular Surgeon. Board certified ACNP or PA, TX licensed; cardiology/ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Board certified ACNP or PA.
• Texas licensure required.
• Hospital-based cardio care involvement.
• Experience in cardiology and/or ICU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rounds on post-surgical and ICU patients.
• Perform assessments and coordinate the care plan.
• Implement discharge planning under supervision of cardiology team.
• Collaborate with Cardiologist or Cardiovascular Surgeon.

Qualified Candidates:

• Board certified acute care nurse practitioner or physician assistant
• Licensed in the state of Texas
• Hospital based position providing cardiac care to post-surgical and ICU patients
• The ACNP or PA is responsible for conducting rounds on patients, performing assessments, coordinating and evaluating the plan of care, and implementing discharge plans at the direction and supervision of the Cardiologist or Cardiovascular Surgeon
• Experienced ACNP or PA with previous cardiology and/or ICU experience required
• New Graduates welcome to apply with strong ICU nursing experience
• M-F 8-5
• No on-call
