Houston Cardiovascular Associates, a leading cardiology practice in Houston, is seeking a part-time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to work with an Interventional Cardiologist in an outpatient clinic.

The ACNP will collaborate with the HCVA team to assess and treat complex cardiovascular conditions, under supervision, in a high-acuity outpatient environment. This role suits an experienced ACNP with cardiology background and Texas licensing.

Qualifications

• ACNP board-certified and eligible to practice in Texas.
• 2-3 years of Cardiology experience as ACNP preferred.
• Not suitable for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care for established cardiovascular patients.
• Collaborate with Interventional Cardiologist and HCVA team.

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner- CardiologyHouston Cardiovascular AssociatesHouston, TXHouston Cardiovascular Associates is in search of a part-time ACNP who will work closely with one of our Interventional Cardiologists to treat established patients in an outpatient clinic setting.About Houston Cardiovascular Associates:Serving the community since 1963, HCVA is Houston’s largest group of private-practicing cardiovascular physicians, with two locations. Our board-certified physicians specialize in general, interventional, structural cardiology as well as cardio-oncology and advanced heart failure and transplantation, peripheral vascular disease, electrophysiology and cardiothoracic surgery.We offer comprehensive services including:Disease preventionAdvanced diagnosticsCardiac and pulmonary disease managementExercise stress testselectrocardiographyNuclear imaging including SPECT and cardiac PETOur physicians and APPs provide services in two clinics, our vein clinic as well as two area hospitals. The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner will work under the general supervision of the primary supervising physician, and all physician partners to delivery competent medical care to an age specific population including adults and geriatric patients. ACNP will work independently and collaborate with the entire HCVA physician team as well as assess, manage and treat complex cardiovascular conditions in high acuity units. Position to maintain the scope of practice to be consistent with the policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines governed by the Texas Board of Nursing, the Texas Medical Board, and any other federal or state regulatory agencies, as well as the policies and procedures of HCVA.
