Job summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Cardiologist to provide comprehensive care for patients with cardiology needs in ambulatory settings. Responsibility includes documentation in CPRS, evaluating patients, and coordinating with other disciplines.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with incentives such as sign-on, education debt reduction, and CME support as part of federal benefits and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Full and unrestricted license from any US state or territory.
• CME reimbursement available (must be full-time with board certification).
• Experience in cardiology procedures is desirable and documented if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Writes medical orders and prescriptions for non-controlled substances as needed.
• Documents care in CPRS and detailed patient history/exams.
• Performs outpatient cardiology consultations, evaluations and treatments.
• Participates in education programs and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to complete patient evaluations.
