Job summary

NOWHealthcare is partnering with a well-established non-profit 4-hospital system in the Munster, IN area, just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago. We seek a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiologist (Noninvasive) for a full-time permanent role.

The position offers a base salary of $600,000–$700,000 with total first-year compensation over $750,000 with bonuses, sign-on and relocation assistance. 8am–4:30pm, M–F, EPIC EMR, and growth opportunities across a busy cardiology program.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible cardiologist.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in noninvasive cardiology.
• Ability to work in a multi-site, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide noninvasive cardiology care in clinic and hospital settings.
• Perform and interpret noninvasive tests (echo, stress tests, CT/MRI as available).
• Collaborate with a large cardiology group and nursing staff.
• Participate in call rotation (1:7).

About the Role

• Full-time permanent position
• Board Certified / Board Eligible Cardiologist
• Location: Munster, IN - 30mins from Chicago!
• 12 Other Cardiologists on Staff
• 4 Non Invasive Cardios
• Schedule: Typically 8am - 4:30pm M-F
• Clinic Day Volume: 20-25 patients
• Inpatient Day Volume: 15-20 patients
• Nurse practitioner support in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Call: 1:7 Rotation
• EMR - EPIC - fully integrated HIMSS Stage VII
• The non-invasive cardiology department offers a variety of testing to assist physicians in the diagnosis of heart and vascular disease processes.
• Most of these studies use instrumentation that remains outside the body and use sound waves or electrical signals to gain precise information on conditions or abnormalities of the heart and vascular system.
• Provide expertise in a wide variety of cutting-edge technologies from echocardiography and stress tests to cardiac MRI and CT scans.
• Work out of 1 consistent clinic location and round on 1 hospital site.
• Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI or Cardiac PET are up and running. Group is looking to start a Cardiac MR program.
