Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute in Minnesota seeks an Invasive Cardiologist to join United Hospital in St. Paul. This full-time role includes inpatient and outpatient care across St. Paul and Western Wisconsin, with 8- and 12-hour shifts on a 40-hour work week.

You will work within a large cardiovascular team supported by Epic EHR, with opportunities in imaging and multidisciplinary care across the Twin Cities region.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and medical license in MN/WI
• ACGME/AOA residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Interventional Cardiology
• Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients to improve health and well-being.
• Treat complex cardiac conditions such as heart attacks and life-threatening rhythms.
• Manage diseases of the heart and blood vessels.
• May perform cardiac imaging if certified (e.g., Echocardiography, CT, MRI, nuclear studies).
• Participate in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
• Utilize quality improvement tools to enhance patient care, outcomes, or workflows.

Principle Responsibilities

• Manages diseases of the heart and blood vessels.
• May, if certified, perform cardiac imaging such as Echocardiography, CT scan, MRI scan, and Nuclear studies.
• Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
• Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or work flows.
• May participate in peer review and quality assurance.

Required Qualifications

• Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine
• Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Internal Medicine or foreign equivalency training
• Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Fellowship training program in Interventional Cardiology or foreign equivalency training
• Demonstrated experience in Interventional Cardiology

Licenses/Certifications

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
• Board Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a certificate of special qualification in cardiovascular disease upon hire required
• Board Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a certificate of special qualification in interventional cardiology, or in Interventional Cardiology by the AOA Board of Internal Medicine for practices performing invasive, interventional cardiology upon hire required
• Active, non-restricted medical license in MN and WI (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• ACLS certification required upon hire.
• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $644,238 to $724,776 per yearThe pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
