Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock is seeking a Cardiologist to join the Department of Internal Medicine to provide outpatient and inpatient cardiovascular care while supporting the Cardiology Fellowship.

The program offers exposure to the full continuum of cardiovascular care and serves a rapidly growing, diverse patient population. It promotes bedside teaching for fellows, residents and medical students within TTUHSC.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent.
• Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, a Cardiology Fellowship.
• Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License.
• Foreign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OR Equivalency Certification.

Responsabilités

• Outpatient and inpatient cardiovascular evaluation and exams.
• Orders, performs and interprets non-invasive tests like stress tests, echo and EKGs.
• Outlines preventive care plans and evidence-based treatment for cardiovascular conditions.
• Monitors patient progress to manage cardiovascular risk factors and medications.
• Participates in bedside teaching and lectures for fellows, residents and medical students.
