Job summary

The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University seeks a Cardiologist at Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank to provide expert inpatient and outpatient care. You will engage in night/weekend call, imaging work, and teaching across medical students, residents, and fellows.

Opportunities exist for echocardiography and non-invasive imaging, with emphasis on scholarly activity. Salary commensurate with rank and experience; comprehensive benefits; based at Augusta

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent board-certified cardiologist with fellowship training.
• Rank progression from Assistant Professor to Professor requires demonstrated scholarship.
• USG/Georgia system guidelines and teaching/scholarly activity expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop outpatient clinical practice with fixed clinics and staff Fellows clinic as needed.
• Participate in Inpatient CCU, Ward and Consult Services; read ECGs.
• Engage in Echo Lab, CT, Nuclear and cardiac MRI readings per interest; share call.
• Support TAVR, MitraClip and Watchman procedures when trained.
• Teach medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows; participate in scholarly activity.
