Job summary

The Amarillo VA Health Care System in Amarillo, Texas is seeking an experienced cardiologist to manage a patient population with cardiac diseases, including assessments and medication management within the agency. A Recruitment/Relocation Incentive may be authorized to a highly qualified candidate.

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). Proficiency in spoken and written English is required; board certification/eligibility with fellowship training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited school or its equivalent.
• Board certification in cardiology preferred or board-eligible.
• Current licensed physician in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with cardiac diseases.
• Perform and interpret cardiac tests and imaging as appropriate.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and medication management.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with VA policies.
