Job summary

Physicians for Healthy Hospitals Inc. seeks a cardiovascular technician to operate sonography and physiological pressure monitoring systems in a hospital setting. You will perform heart and vascular ultrasound exams and document findings for the care team.

Under supervision, maintain equipment, ensure accuracy of reports, and participate in safety and quality-improvement efforts. BLS certified and vascular/cardiac ultrasound credentials desired.

Qualifications

• Education: A.A. degree in related cardiopulmonary health science or closely allied health field is desired or post high school vocational/specialized training.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred as cardiovascular technician in an acute care hospital setting, preferably in cardiac echo/vascular sonography.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS certification. Certified in vascular and cardiac ultrasound.

Salary Range: $42.36 To $49.63 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general supervision, performs a variety of specialized technical duties involving the sonograph and physiological pressure monitoring systems; and performs other related duties as required.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Possession of A.A. degree in related cardiopulmonary health science or closely allied health field is desired or post high school vocational/specialized training.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred as cardiovascular technician in an acute care hospital setting preferably in cardiac echo/vascular sonography department.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS certification. Certified in vascular and cardiac ultrasound.

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

Knowledge of:

• Anatomy and Physiology.
• Ultrasonography of the heart and vascular anatomy.
• Diagnostic and monitoring equipment.
• Ultrasound techniques and examinations.
• Report writing.

• Operate equipment used in monitoring and other diagnostic equipment.
