Position Overview

BayCare Medical Group is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon to join our team of three surgeons and four advanced practice providers in Winter Haven, Florida. Located conveniently between Tampa and Orlando, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, including complex procedures, pre- and post-operative management, and contributing to our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform a range of cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries such as CABG, valve repairs/replacements, and lung resections.
2. Conduct pre-operative assessments and determine surgical interventions.
3. Manage post-operative recovery and follow-up care.
4. Collaborate with cardiologists, pulmonologists, and other healthcare professionals.
5. Participate in clinical research to advance surgical techniques.
6. Engage in on-call rotations and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery.
• Completion of accredited residency and fellowship in the specialty.
