Position Overview

BayCare Medical Group, a physician-led organization, is seeking a board-certified Breast Surgeon to lead and expand our team of fellowship-trained Breast Surgeons at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida. This role combines clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities, shaping the future of breast surgical care within our respected program.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Providing clinical oversight and mentorship to a team of Breast Surgeons and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Collaborating with hospital administration, oncology services, and multidisciplinary teams to improve care coordination and develop programs.
• Leading quality improvement initiatives, maintaining NAPBC accreditation standards, and promoting best practices in breast surgery.
• Participating in recruitment, onboarding, and professional development within the department.

Our Program

Our breast surgery program includes three board-certified, fellowship-trained Breast Surgeons and two Advanced Practice Providers. We offer comprehensive breast health services, advanced diagnostics, and treatments in a patient-centered environment. The Comprehensive Breast Care Center of Tampa Bay is NAPBC-accredited and part of BayCare Medical Group, within BayCare Health System, a top-ranked non-profit health system.

Position Requirements

• Fellowship training in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology
• Board Certification in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology
• Previous leadership experience demonstrating commitment to clinical excellence, mentorship, and program growth
