Position Overview

The Cardiac Sonographer Level I supports patient care by performing echocardiogram procedures as directed by physicians. Demonstrates proficiency with ultrasound equipment and associated procedures. Performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure efficient office operations.

  • Performs technical procedures to support physician diagnosis
  • Acquires echocardiographic measurements per protocol, creates digital preliminary reports, and communicates findings verbally to the interpreting physician
  • Reviews physician orders for appropriateness
  • Retrieves studies from PACS for review
  • Ensures accuracy of data for reports, demographics, and billing
