What You Will Be Doing

The Cardiac Sonographer Level I supports patient care by performing echocardiogram procedures as directed by physicians. Demonstrates proficiency with ultrasound equipment and related procedures. Performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure efficient office operations.

• Performs technical procedures to support physicians' diagnoses.
• Acquires echocardiographic measurements according to protocol, creates digital preliminary reports, and communicates findings to the interpreting physician.
• Verifies physician orders for appropriateness.
• Retrieves studies from PACS for review.
• Ensures data accuracy for clinical reports, demographics, and billing information.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited diagnostic ultrasound program or 5 years of diagnostic ultrasound experience required.

Experience

• 1 year of experience in the field preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) preferred.
