Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System is seeking a capable ultrasound professional to perform cardiac and vascular exams in the Vein Center. The role emphasizes efficient, compassionate patient care and high-quality imaging.

You will work a day shift with a 30-hour schedule, participate in call coverage as needed, and contribute to training new staff and students while maintaining credentialing requirements through ARDMS or CCI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass ARDMS/CCI exams within 90 days of initial test date.
• Credentialing through ARDMS or CCI (RDCS/RCS/RVT/RVS) required.
• Second specialty credentialling and cross-training expected within 12 months.
• Cross training to maintain credentialling as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for cardiac and vascular exams.
• Review patient information in HIS and related systems.
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic images with proper patient positioning.
• Provide care appropriate for pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Occasionally cover call during off-hours for emergencies.
• Document findings and communicate with cardiology/vascular staff.
• Perform advanced studies such as Stress Echocardiography, TEE, pacemaker studies.
• Assist in training ultrasound students and new staff.
