Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Cardiac & Vascular Sonographer to perform comprehensive cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies in Palm Beach County. The role includes echocardiograms, stress tests, and duplex exams, all while adhering to NYU, IAC, and ACR standards.

Candidates must hold an associate degree with an accredited program and possess RDCS/RVT or RCS/RVS credentials (one credential plus the plan to obtain the second within one year).

Qualifications

• Associates Degree with accredited cardiac/vascular ultrasound training.
• RDCS/RVT or RCS/RVS credentials required; second credential within 1 year if only one is held.
• BLS certification required; active registry status maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound studies including echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
• Perform vascular studies including carotid duplex and arterial/venous duplex exams.
• Adhere to NYU, IAC, and ACR standards in all studies.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort; verify patient identity.
• Create preliminary reports and document scans per dept. procedures.
• Assist with accreditation documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Lift/move patients and equipment up to 150 pounds as needed.

Education

Associate degree + accredited cardiac/vascular ultrasound program

RDCS and RVT OR RCS and RVS credentials
