Job summary

The University of Iowa is seeking a full-time Sonographer to perform a variety of adult cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures. You will teach residents and medical students, assist with procedures, and maintain high-quality diagnostic standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills required.
• ARDMS registration in Diagnostic Cardiac and Vascular Sonography required within nine months.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult cardiac and vascular ultrasonography procedures.
• Assist physicians during transesophageal echocardiography.
• Maintain quality control of diagnostic exams.

Bachelor’s degree plus a twelve-month formal education program in Cardiac Ultrasonography
