Job summary

BayCare Health System in Clearwater invites a skilled Cardiac and Vascular Ultrasound Specialist to join the Cath Lab and Special Procedures team. You will perform Cardiac and Vascular Ultrasound/Doppler tests and support physicians with diagnostic work.

Minimum 2 years ultrasound experience in cardiac/vascular, with Echocardiography or ultrasound tech training. BLS plus RDCS/RDMS with RVT/RVS certification after 1 year is required; Preferred is 5 years in ultrasound.

Qualifications

• 2 years in Ultrasound specializing in Cardiac and Vascular.
• Requires Echocardiography or Ultrasound technical training.
• Credentials: BLS; RDCS/RDMS with RVT or RVS certification after 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs Cardiac and Vascular Ultrasound/Doppler diagnostic testing as part of the Cardiovascular Team.
• Assists physicians and other healthcare professionals in technical areas and provides clinical support.
• Functions with minimal supervision and independent work when appropriate.

Summary: Serves as a member of the Cardiovascular Team engaging in the conduct and performance of Cardiac and Vascular Ultrasound/Doppler diagnostic testing. Assists the physician and other related healthcare professionals in these technical areas and is responsible for all aspects of clinical support. Functions independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

Other information:

Required Technical School: Echocardiography or Ultrasound. Required Experience: 2 years in Ultrasound specializing in Cardiac and Vascular.

Required Credentials: BLS (Basic Life Support); RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) OR RDCS (Reg Diagnostic Card Sonograph) AND RVT (Reg Vascular Tech Cert) OR RVS (CCI Registered Vascular Specialist) certification after 1 year of hire.

Preferred - 5 years - Ultrasound.
