Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Unit to provide patient care in line with nursing standards and care plans.

You will perform nursing assessments, develop and implement plans of care, administer medications, and document care while coordinating with the care team to support patient outcomes. A BSN is preferred, Massachusetts RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Experience in nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments accurately and timely.
• Develop and implement a plan of care reflecting patient needs and goals.
• Provide, evaluate, and modify nursing care to achieve objectives.
• Complete patient care documentation per established standards.
• Administer medications safely according to professional standards.
• Transcribe or acknowledge doctors' orders and carry them out as directed.
• Coordinate nursing care activities with other care team members.
• Assess patient education needs and provide necessary education.
• Mentor and teach healthcare team members as needed.
• Actively participate in team conferences and meetings.
