Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead nursing teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care. The role partners with physicians and staff to optimize processes, staffing, and bed management while promoting Mercy’s mission and standards.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure, 3–5 years in hospital nursing, and current ACLS/TNCC/ENPC or PALS training or a plan to acquire within probation. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
• Current RN license with the Board of Nursing in the applicable State of practice.
• 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probation period; TNCC, ACLS and ENPC or PALS.
• Demonstrates skills in human relations and communication, written verbal, and electronic.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assures delivery of safe, high-quality and cost-effective care provided by competent co-workers.
• Ensures units are appropriately staffed to provide patient care.
• Collaborates with administrators, physicians and staff to improve processes across the continuum.
• Leads patient flow and bed management with the Staffing Office.
• Evaluates staff performance and provides mentorship and guidance.
