Job summary

Pulse Heart Institute, part of MultiCare Health System, seeks a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound with independence and initiative. You will produce optimum scans, schedule ultrasound appointments and write reports, while collaborating with cardiology, vascular and thoracic teams to deliver comprehensive care.

The per-diem role supports the hospital with flexible shift coverage, typically 0600-1630.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ultrasound technology program within 6 months.
• Registered or registry eligible with ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
• If registry pending, complete registration within 12 months from start date.
• Previous ultrasonography experience preferred.
• Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Produce optimum scanning results and schedule ultrasound appointments.
• Write reports, file documents, charge and stock rooms.
• Place patient welfare above all duties while in the ultrasound department.

FTE: .01 Per Diem, Shift: Variable, Schedule: Variable

Per-diem position covering the hospital. Normal shift time is 0600-1630

Position Summary

The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist is a crucial role at MultiCare, performing diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound procedures. Ranging from ultrasound exams, therapeutic or interventional Ultrasound procedures, this position requires independent judgment, initiative and ingenuity.

Responsibilities

• You will produce optimum scanning results, using ultrasound as a diagnostic aid and schedule ultrasound appointments
• You will perform various duties to include: writing reports, filing, charging and stocking rooms with appropriate products
• You will place patient welfare above all other duties while the patient remains in the ultrasound department

Requirements

• Graduate or graduation eligible within 6 months a formal ultrasound technology training program
• Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovasular Credentialing International
• If registry pending, must complete appropriate registration within 12 months from date of employment
• Previous experience as an Ultrasonographer preferred
• Current BLS required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $42.27 - $67.65 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
