Job summary

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital seeks a skilled Cardiac Ultrasound professional to perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound studies and provide guidance to colleagues and students. The role emphasizes advanced imaging, pathology interpretation, and mentorship within the Echo department.

The position requires RDCS or RCS credentials and ARDMS certifications, with potential for teaching responsibilities and participation in a teaching hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound including 2D imaging, spectral and color Doppler, and m‑mode.
• Instruct staff on technical performance and pathology related to ultrasound.
• May mentor/preceptor Ultrasonographers and students.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations.
• Instruct personnel in technical performance and clinical application.
• Mentor Ultrasonographers and/or students as needed.

BLS - AHA

BLS - ARC

RDCS or RCS (Cardiac) 1 year

BS/BSU - Breast ultrasound (ARDMS, excludes others) 1 year

AB/OB Sono certifications (ARDMS) 1 year

RDCS Cardiac – Registered

RCS Cardiac Sonographer – Registered

VT Vascular Technologist (ARDMS) within 1 year
