Job summary

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital in Dearborn, MI, is seeking a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams including two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color Doppler, m-mode, transesophageal studies, exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms, and contrast studies on adult patients.

Candidates must hold ARDMS RDCS or RCS credentials with BLS; an associate degree or ultrasound program graduation is required.

Qualifications

• Required associate's degree or equivalent Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
• Minimal as gained at student level. Required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDE Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac, General, Vascular 1 Year required
• CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required Or

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations consisting of: Two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, m-mode; trans esophageal; exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients.
• Instruction of medical personnel in technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology as it pertains to cardiac ultrasound.
• May act as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students.
