Job summary

Dodge County Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Tech for Day shifts on a PRN basis. The role performs ultrasound and echocardiography to aid physicians, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient-centered care in a compliant clinical environment.

Applicants should be graduates of an accredited sonography program with ARDMS/CCI credentials and BLS certification. The position requires on-site work and contributes to a responsive radiology team with supportive leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program.
• One year ultrasound or echocardiology experience preferred; new grads with registry credentials may be considered.
• Current RDMS, RDCS, or RCS credentials and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and transthoracic echocardiograms per physician orders.
• Obtain high-quality images and measurements for interpretation.
• Explain procedures, verify orders, and prepare patients for testing.
• Maintain equipment, document findings in EMR, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures and participate in on-call rotations.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program

Requires 5 basic units of DCH education units per year
