Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is hiring a Telemetry Technician to monitor and document cardiac rhythms continuously on the telemetry monitor and to identify and report any arrhythmia or rhythm changes.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical terminology, the ability to interpret rhythm strips, and strong computer skills; EKG knowledge assessment is required on hire, with preferred EKG certification and BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Ability to interpret rhythm strips and recognize EKG changes.
• Must complete EKG Knowledge Assessment Tool – administered upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Continuous observation and documentation of cardiac rhythms on the telemetry monitor and report any arrhythmia or rhythm changes.
• Identify and report any cardiac arrhythmia or changes in patient’s rate or rhythm.
• Must complete EKG Knowledge Assessment Tool administered upon hire.
