Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to accurately interpret rhythm strips and recognize EKG changes.
• Must complete EKG Knowledge Assessment Tool - administered upon hire
• Excellent Computer skills
• Preferred: EKG Certification
• Successful Completion of a formal EKG Program
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• One year of hospital or ambulatory care experience
• Two years of EKG interpretation preferred

Responsibilities

• Telemetry Technician is responsible for continuous observation and documentation of cardiac rhythms displayed on the telemetry monitor and for identifying and reporting any cardiac arrhythmia or changes in patient's rate or rhythm.
