UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh is hiring a Full-Time Monitor Technician for the Cardiac Monitoring Center. You will monitor cardiac activity, recognize dysrhythmias, and support ECG/Holter procedures in a busy hospital setting.

Shifts are rotating (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) with 36 hours per week on-site. CPR certification and CPR training are required within 30 days of hire. Training and advancement opportunities are available within UPMC.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in cardiac telemetry monitoring or EKG is desired.
• Proficiency in recognizing cardiac dysrhythmias is required.
• Ability to pass hospital dysrhythmia training with 90%+.
• Basic keyboarding skills to operate medical equipment.

Aufgaben

• Monitor multiple cardiac monitors with accuracy and alert staff to dysrhythmias.
• Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic instrumentation and troubleshooting.
• Process ECGs and Holter monitoring requests and billing components.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional relationships.
• Cover shifts as needed and support daily operations in the unit.
