Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor patient cardiac rhythms under RN direction and report changes promptly. You will manage telemetry equipment, document ECG data, and assist in training staff to ensure seamless care transitions.

The role requires certification in rhythm interpretation and BLS-HCP, with a weekend shift pattern and potential holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Basic Rhythm Certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer
• Must pass a basic dysrhythmia test prior to orientation completion
• BLS-HCP certification required by hire or within 60 days with approval

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously and ensure accurate ECG readings
• Interpret ECG data and report changes to RN promptly
• Prepare, maintain and clean telemetry equipment including batteries and leads
• Document ECG data and interval measurements in patient records
• Assist in tracking patient locations during off-monitor procedures
• Perform crash cart checks at shift start to ensure readiness
• Provide ECG history for incoming staff for seamless care transitions
• Assist in training new associates on telemetry monitoring procedures
• Maintain admission and discharge logbooks for care continuity
• Maintain portable telemetry equipment logs
