Job summary

Lutheran Hospital is seeking a Student Intern for Cardiac Telemetry to work 1–12 hour shifts per week. You will learn to chart, manage time, and perform delegated tasks under RN supervision, while developing rapid assessment and patient-care skills.

The role trains as a Patient Care Technician (PCT), supporting daily living activities, ensuring a safe care environment, and maintaining effective communication within the healthcare team. Preference for nursing students in their final year.

Qualifications

• Must be in your last year of nursing school.
• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff with basic patient care and maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Records patient data such as vital signs and intake/output, reporting to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Supports patients with meals, grooming, toileting, and mobility needs.
• Communicates patient information to the care team and adheres to safety protocols.
