Kaiser Permanente in South San Francisco is seeking a Monitor Technician to join a patient care team under the direction of the Registered Nurse. You will observe, interpret, and monitor displayed cardiac rhythms, and report promptly any deviations from baseline.

Responsibilities include monitoring rhythms, remaining at the monitor, mounting strips, reporting deviations, and assisting in telemetry equipment management.

Formación

• Must be able to observe, interpret, and monitor cardiac rhythms.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ECG basics.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks and documentation systems.

Responsabilidades

• Monitors cardiac rhythms accurately.
• Remains at the monitor except for breaks or when coverage is arranged.
• Observes and reports deviations from baseline promptly to the RN.
• Assists in identifying patient problems with Telemetry monitoring.
• Reports and records data to the Registered Nurse.
• Mounts monitor strips on documentation flow sheet for review by RN.
• Assists in identifying supplies and equipment needed for Telemetry monitoring.
• Performs other related Monitor Technician duties as necessary.
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
