Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Telemetry/ECG Technician to monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for cardiology patients under RN supervision. You will analyze rhythms, record data, and coordinate with the care team to ensure patient safety.

The role includes shift-based telemetry monitoring, alarm management, and occasional duties such as video monitoring and order entry, with CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related experience or training.
• Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or completion of a dysrhythmia course upon hire.
• CPR – American Heart Association certification.
• EMS or CMA diploma/training/experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, interprets, and records ECG rhythms accurately per procedure.
• Maintains continuous ECG rhythm assessment at central monitor and during transport.
• Cleans and maintains telemetry monitors and accounts for monitors at discharge.
• Demonstrates knowledge of central station and bedside monitors; manages alarms.
• Performs other unit duties such as video monitoring, order entry, and phones.
