Job summary

The Allegheny General Hospital 11A Telemetry Unit in Pittsburgh, part of Highmark Health, is seeking an RN to provide cardiac telemetry care on a weekend rotation. The unit specializes in advanced heart failure and related cardiac conditions.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• Act 34, Act 33, Act 73 background clearances (and FBI if required).
• CPR certification from American Heart Association.
• One year general nursing experience required; one year on unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning.
• Provides safe, age-appropriate nursing care according to regulations.
• Directs and manages patient care delivery by the nursing team.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team from admission through discharge.
• Educates patient and family based on age, culture, and learning needs.
