The RN will provide safe nursing care, lead in patient-centered practices, and support stroke care processes while maintaining high standards of practice and continuous education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Prefer one year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care.
• BLS (current upon hire).
• ACLS and/or required specialty training or course completion within three months of employment.
• Current Florida nursing license.
• Current Chemotherapy Certification for nurses.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care per facility policies and philosophy.
• Offer professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Demonstrate patient-centered care as the foundation of nursing activities.
• Recognize stroke signs and activate stroke alert process.
• Assist ICU nurse with telemedicine consult and physician evaluation.
