Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 7B Cardiac Tele unit at Carolinas Medical Center. The role is full-time night shift with a focus on long-term patient relationships and post-device follow-up care.

Cardiac experience and comfort with drips are preferred; on-the-job training is provided for devices. Requirements include NC RN licensure, BCLS, ACLS within 1 year for relevant units, and PALS within 1 year for specific ED and NICU areas.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse licensure in North Carolina.
• BCLS required; ACLS within 1 year for Adult Critical Care/ED.
• PALS required within 1 year for Network ED, Peds ED, PICU, NICU as per unit guidelines.
• Essential functions follow nursing standards of care and include patient advocacy and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient/family centered care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and lead other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and ensure patient privacy and professional behavior.
• Utilize technology to enhance patient and staff safety and participate in shared governance and professional development.
