Job summary

Abbott Northwestern Hospital is seeking an RN to provide specialized cardiac telemetry and general medical care on a high-acuity unit in the Twin Cities area. The role emphasizes an evidence-based, patient-centered approach and collaboration with family members to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or vocational RN training required.
• 1-2 years RN experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (not required).
• Cardiac/telemetry or critical care experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs; establish outcomes and care plan; supervise progress and adjust plan as needed.
• Maintain education and competencies to provide high quality patient care; practice evidence-based nursing.
• Develop realistic, measurable patient outcomes with coordination with family and patient.
• Coordinate, collaborate, and delegate to ensure safe, effective care; fulfill organizational requirements.
• Support roles: Charge Nurse and Preceptor when applicable.
