Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse Inpatient in Illinois to deliver comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill patients using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while meeting ANA standards and collaborating with the health team.

Responsibilities include developing individualized plans, coordinating care with physicians and staff, documenting progress, and participating in governance and unit projects.

Qualifications

• Requires BSN and current Illinois RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and coordinate individualized care plans.
• Direct care and coordinate use of any nursing assistants.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Document outcomes and revise care plans accordingly.
• Participate in governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Document and evaluate patient responses to interventions.
• Apply evidence-based practice to guide nursing decisions.
