Job summary

The Richmond VA Medical Center is seeking five Inpatient Staff Registered Nurses for the Telemetry Unit on the day shift to join the Acute Care service. The incumbent will be responsible for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care and will coordinate care focused on education, self-management, and customer satisfaction across the continuum of care.

Qualified candidates must have graduation from an approved nursing program, current unrestricted

Qualifications

• English proficiency for direct patient care as required by 38 U.S.C. 7403(f).
• Graduate of a nursing program approved by ACEN/CCNE or equivalent.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Administer and supervise direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with an emphasis on patient education, self-management, and satisfaction across the continuum of care.
• Provide leadership on the Telemetry Unit and ensure quality care in a fast-paced Acute Care setting.
