Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Mercy utilizes the nursing process to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care for a telemetry cardiac floor, where a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio guides daily delivery.

You will evaluate care, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, advocate for patient rights, ensure confidentiality, and uphold Mercy's mission and Service Standards while pursuing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Maintain current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Possess or acquire additional unit-specific certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Evaluate the care provided by direct caregivers and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Uphold patient rights, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to Mercy Service Standards.
• Adapt to varying acuity on the telemetry cardiac floor and respond to patient needs.
